Role Summary/Purpose
This individual will be customer focused and self-motivated in providing advanced technical
support of GE Power – Grid automation protection and control products to new and existing
customers.
Essential Responsibilities
· Providing advanced application technical support to global customers in the utilization of
protection and control products through phone, email and site visits
· Providing support for issues containment and closure plans of main customer issues
· Clear articulation and prioritization of customer issues
· Develop experiment setups and perform detailed troubleshooting through in-depth analysis of
information provided by customers
· Interfacing with all departments to ensure completion of customer issues
· Writing technical reports based on field performance
· Meeting with customers for high priority cases
Qualifications/Requirements
· Strong background in advanced protection and grid automation
· Hands on experience using power test equipment, including Omicron, protocol analyzers.
· Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
· Experience with root cause analysis methodologies
· Field service experience and utility experience will be valued
· Fluent in English and Spanish, other languages valued.
· Ready to travel up to 20% of his/her time. Area of influence, mainly ERCIS+SSA.
· A master degree in Protections or equivalent knowledge or experience will be valued
· EU Work Permit
