Role Summary/Purpose

You'll be part of a global matrix team and the key responsibilities include design and review architectures across GE Renewable Software Engineering portfolio, you'll be accountable for crafting software architectures on cloud (AWS/Azure/Predix), designed for quality, scalability, security, robustness and maintainability throughout the life-cycle of the product. You'll be part of the GE Renewable Energy Software Engineering team and work closely to define annual goals and strategies for the org.
Essential Responsibilities

• Contribute to cloud based product technical architecture reviews
• Must have worked and be conversant with Agile Methodologies
• Design Architecture during discovery, validate UX mock-ups technically
• Estimate during grooming sessions with the global team, Contribute to T-shirt estimation for the release plan
• Responsible for technical approaches for the sprints
• Define strategies for automated deployment (CI/CD), Code quality (SonarQube) and Security (SAST/DAST)
• Help PO & Scrum master for sprint planning
Qualifications/Requirements

• Masters/Bachelors in ComputerScience with 8 years of experience OR PhD with 5 years of experience
• At least 2 hands-On technologies from each:
• Mobile tech (Swift, iOS, Android, React Native)
• Front End (Angular, Polymer, React, HTML5, CSS)
• Middleware (Node, NginX)
• Backend (Java Spring Boot, Python Django or flask)
• Relational & NoSQL DBs
• Proficient with Design Patterns
• Lead Discovery, Journey maps with UX folks and technical design & solutioning (Strong understanding of Micro-services architecture on cloud) and estimations for Product Backlog grooming
• Proven desire of exploring and executing PoCs across new Cloud tech features
• Coaching & Mentoring junior Architects and Developers
• Gatekeeper of Quality (Performance(caching), Tech Debt, Security, Reuse)
• You have designed architectures on AWS OR Azure using:
• Docker and Kubernetes, Jenkins, Security (Oauth 2.0, Static code analysis & Dynamic code analysis)
• Effective communicator, both Written & Oral
• High on Emotional Quotient : very easy to work with, takes & gives informal constructive criticism
• Strong & Adaptive team player
