Role Summary/Purpose

GE Renewable Energy Junior Officer Leadership Program (JOLP) Fellowship will prepare students for a potential position as a member of the JOLP full-time program upon graduation. Those accepted into the full-time program will enter a 2-year rotational program, giving them a broad business experience and exposure to GE Renewable Energy. Each rotation is thoughtfully designed to help the JOLP build business acumen, solve difficult problems, and gain leadership exposure.

Essential Responsibilities

The JOLP Fellowship is designed to create an opportunity for high performing Veterans at the nation’s top graduate schools to be immersed in GE Renewable’s culture and business rhythm. During the Fellowship, candidates will be placed among one of many various divisions, which include Commercial Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Development, Sales and Marketing, and more. In these roles, the fellow will gain real-time exposure to business challenges and impactful projects of strategic and tactical importance. Each fellow will have an Executive Champion supporting their development during their assignments. In addition, experienced managers will mentor each fellow during their time with the company

JOLP is a unique opportunity for top former military officers who have recently made the decision to transition from the military and are ready to jump start their careers in corporate America and the renewable energy industry. The full-time JOLP experience is a two-year rotational program, comprised of three high-impact eight-month rotations in different business functions throughout GE Renewable Energy, designed to create future business leaders.

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Qualified candidates are those who excelled in their Military careers and are looking for their next challenging opportunity

·  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a technical degree
·  Minimum of 5 years as Commissioned Military Officer in the US Armed Forces
·  Must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA (or equivalent) in current graduate program
·  Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited graduate program
·  Graduation Date: 2020 or 2021
·  Current School Level: Graduate Student, 1st year of 2-year program or 2nd year of 3-year program  
·  Our positions require access to export controlled information. Due to that requirement, we need to ask are you one of the following: (1) U.S. Citizen or National; (2) U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident; (3) Person granted Refugee status in the United States; (4) Person granted Asylee status in the United States; (5) A Special Agricultural Worker under section 210 or (6) a beneficiary of legalization through an amnesty program under section 245A of the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act
·  Willing and available to live and work in upstate NY. The Fellowship and JOLP program is based out of Schenectady, NY
Desired Characteristics

·  Preferred current studies in MBA, MSCM, MENG, or similar advanced degree
·  Proven record of success throughout Military career
·  Strong oral and written communication skills
·  Ability to adapt quickly and eager to learn business and master new roles
·  Ability to solve problems, delegate, and achieve difficult goals
·  An analytic approach to problem solving
·  Willingness and ability to learn from others
·  Demonstrated leadership and a team player
·  Excellent interpersonal skills
·  Completion of an advanced Military training course (I.E. Flight School, Special Forces, Nuclear Power School, etc.)
·  Desire to work in a fast paced ever changing environment
·  Ability to be agile as business needs change and shift frequently
