Role Summary/Purpose

The Schenectady Remote Operations Center is a critical part of GE Renewables customer service operation. We are looking to fill a reliability operations analyst role with a forward-thinking, operational mindset who will partner with the leadership team to drive up the value of this GE Service O&M component for the Renewable Energy Business using work process automation.

Essential Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the implementation and monitoring of the GE ROC Operations with specific emphasis on facets of North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Control Center compliance. You will use and enhance cutting edge analytics software and tools to analyze compliance of renewables power generation teams. As the Reliability Analyst, you will:

·  Quickly learn and understand engineering processes related to renewables power generation and control room operations
·  Quickly master analytics software and tools
·  Deftly manage customer expectations and satisfaction for the managed fleet
·  Deliver savings to our customers in the form of increase response velocity, reduced maintenance costs, less unplanned downtime, compliance operations support
·  Assist in developing and maintaining an effective compliance monitoring plan for NERC-related policies and procedures 
·  Assist in conducting compliance reviews, investigations and audits to assess compliance with NERC rules and regulations in multiple regions
·  Participate in the development, enhancement and maintenance of NERC compliance procedures, processes, tools, and general operation of the compliance program and its related activities, incorporating lessons learned and enhancements needed pursuant to compliance monitoring activities
·  Assist in preparing monitoring assessment reports and developing / maintaining metrics to track completion of monitoring reviews
·  Assess the development and implementation of corrective action plans for resolution of potential concerns and enhancement of compliance and ethical behavior
·  Perform day-to-day operation of NERC-related systems for efficient tracking, documentation, and notification
·  Remain current on new and proposed FERC-related laws and regulations and advises supervisor of compliance impact
·  Apply ethics and compliance perspective to related operational protocols
·  Ensure all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university (OR Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of technical experience OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of technical experience) 
Desired Characteristics

·  Electrical Engineering background and/or Engineering background 
·  Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) experience 
·  Related compliance or audit experience with a working knowledge of NERC regulations or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
·  Excellent knowledge of legal, finance and operational areas of a regulated utility 
·  Demonstrated ability to conduct internal reviews, investigations, ethical decision-making and handle a high level of confidentiality 
·  Knowledge of applicable regulatory associations / commissions and their related policies, orders and reporting requirements 
·  Excellent communication (written and verbal), time-management, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills 
·  Knowledge of PC, Microsoft Office Applications, spreadsheet and database software
