Role Summary/Purpose

GE has a small operation Propulsion Repair Facility (PRF) on the RAF Air base at Brize Norton. GE was awarded the contract to repair and overhaul the C130J propeller assemblies to return them to a serviceable condition. The successful applicant will provide direction and assistance to a work group in order to meet assigned objectives.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Provide group support in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production and compliance leading to the production of a serviceable propeller or ancillary unit for the Royal Air Force. 
·  Ensure communication of key business / customer issues to employees. 
·  Continuously improve manufacturing, test, assembly and process for all assigned products / processes.
Interface with other organizations and vendors to assure requirements are met on time. 
·  Interface with the customer on a regular basis to communicate availability statistics. 
·  Provide ongoing support in facilitating the flow of hardware to meet customer requirements. 
·  Achieve high levels of internal and external customer service. 
·  Engage in planning equipment and other resources. 
·  Identify potential issues that may impact customer requirements or project financial performance, and resolve as necessary. 
·  Support the bench-marking of PRF performance. 
·  Provide propeller data to support reliability and performance monitoring. 
·  Complete the RAF Logistical data base for the propeller element (LITS). 
·  Demonstrate flexibility to support/work at UK and global site when needed (India, Italy and Canada).
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Either a Bachelor’s degree or a qualification similar to a City and Guilds with significant of experience in a manufacturing or Repair and Overhaul role or relevant experience. 
·  Ability to conduct repairs and maintenance tasks in conjunction with higher level responsibilities. 
·  Customer interfacing experience. 
·  Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. 
·  Team oriented.
·  Ability to work in high change work environment. 
·  Ability to counsel and motivate workforce. 
·  Self-motivated with strong initiative, and the ability to see beyond the current situation to the final solution. 
·  Able to deal in a constructive and company focused manner with the frustrations associated
with a satellite facility.

·  Either an FAA Airframe; Powerplant Mechanic Certification or an EASA Certification, or experience in maintaining the R391 or similar a Dowty propeller system with release authorization.
·  Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
·  Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

·  Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion.
