Role Summary/Purpose

he Production Associate has front-line responsibility in manufacturing, assembly, basic testing, packaging and shipping of products. These products are used to make medicine and do research to cure diseases and make medicine. All associates will carry out the production process by closely following the standard operating procedures as they relate to materials handling, equipment operation, & finished goods packaging.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Reads and follows work procedures and schematics or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
·  Performs manufacturing/assembly operations and various tasks following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, and process aid sheets
·  Maintains daily production output
·  Inspects in-process & finished product
·  Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures
·  May participate in quality control inspections
·  Works with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
·  Other duties as assigned, and may be asked to be included in quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams Quality Specific Goals:

·  Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
·  Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
·  Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
·  Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements and operates within them to ensure that the product conforms to its specification.
·  Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices, as associated with this job type/position

Candidates
should note that this role will be in scope for the proposed transition of GE
Biopharma to Danaher and will transfer to Danaher at close of this
transaction. 

Qualifications/Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

·  High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent
·  Ability to communicate, receive and understand complex instructions regarding duties to be performed
·  Adherence to Good Manufacturing Principles
·  Demonstrated ability to detail and quality-minded work habits
·  Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership
·  Ability to work Monday-Friday during scheduled shift with occasional Saturday work. (2nd shift is from 2pm-10:30pm.) Physical Requirements;

·  Frequently move, lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 50 lbs unassisted and occasionally lift/move weights greater than 50 lbs with assistance.
·  Frequently climb stairs and ladders
·  Frequently squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, turn, pivot and reach
·  Frequently use fingers or hands to grasp, clamp, move, finger, handle and feel small objects
·  Ability to continuously stand or walk
·  Ability to wear protective equipment including clean room gowning, chemical resistant clothing, safety glasses/goggles
·  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus on objects
