Role Summary/Purpose
The Production Analyst will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and can effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities
· Drive manufacturing and sourcing scheduling and strategies to meet the needs of business
· Coordinate material input to ensure on time delivery and output schedules to maximize
productivity
· Interface with quality, fulfillment team, sourcing, engineering, and logistics on a continuous basis
· Lead in the evaluation of increased production efficiency, and cycle time reduction
· Ensure minimization of excess / obsolete inventory and management of disposition
· Ensure the successful management of manufacturing material input and output to support sales and inventory OPPLANS
· Provide leadership in the execution of cycle, productivity, facilities, maintenance, and EHS projects
· Translate, prepare and assign meaningful and functional productivity plans to meet customer demands for both spares and assembly customers
· Assist in the calculation of schedules for equipment, materials, and manpower with respect to customer demand versus resource capabilities
· Work to control inventory levels, cycle time, and other aspects as required meeting schedules
· Coordinate production control specialists and provide work direction to the team as required to meet customer needs
· Lead the organization by establishing shop schedules that adhere to the Department schedule, and support those schedules through the managed efforts of schedulers and coordinators
· Work with support groups to develop and administer systems, procedures, and other support tools to assist in producing quality and cost-efficient products
· Respond immediately to the needs and concerns of employees providing them with the tools and facilities required to perform their jobs properly
· Develop and present reports to upper management on a current business as spare work orders, non-conforming and critical hardware status as well as plans and programs to maintain control of these measurements
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
· Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution
Desired Characteristics
· Prior experience with COPICS / COSDOM and scheduling programs
· Knowledge of Bill of Material (BOM) Structures
· Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
· Prior MRP or Sourcing Experience
· Familiar with production control systems and routines
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
· Six Sigma training
