Role Summary/Purpose
Responsible for identifying/coordinating process improvement initiatives. Identify, plan and implement key projects to improve quality. Gather information from customers, clients, and coworkers in addition to statistical data to ensure that any strategies implemented are feasible and productive. Be prepared to explain and defend any proposed changes to the current system. Be able to effectively manage and facilitate committee meetings/training sessions.
Essential Responsibilities
Lead in the ongoing evaluation of business processes and software usage across all functions with the goal of discovering and championing best practice recommendations; Works with business units to develop standard operating procedures, documenting workflow and process steps; Working with the IT team, lead testing, documenting, implementing, and training efforts; Responsible to regularly audit business processes against work instruction documentation for compliance, with the goal of discovering additional improvement possibilities; Manage SOP/Work Instruction documentation updates in Box storage and insure timely review by business functions; Identify and conduct key process and software training needs across the entire business; Develop a cycle of ‘refresher’ courses for experienced employees; Collaborate and facilitate steering/stakeholder committees to discover best practice recommendations; Build relationships with associates to identify savings opportunities, development of cost-effective solutions, and follow through implementation and training; Develop plans, schedules, and budgets for projects to innovate existing processes; Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree; 2-3 years of experience preferred; Six Sigma certification a plus; Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project streams efficiently and diplomatically in a high-pressure, complex environment; Outstanding oral and written communication skills and excellent English language/grammar; Proficient in MS Office; 5% travel required, mostly within 150-mile radius; Occasional overnight stay required.
