Role Summary/Purpose

The Process Engineer – P&R will report to the Senior Operation Management Staff Manager and will be involved with the engineering associated with the manufacturing process.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Delivers products as part of a team

·  Supports day-day setups / production – Help operators with rate, set ups, and part quality

·  Automates stages currently not setup on robot

·  Maintains and supports robot operation

·  Develops new NPI stages – Improves current process and/or supports new stages when they arrive

·  Develops proposals for P&E Investment Strategies

·  Defines and controls production process including tooling and equipment

·  Validates design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment

·  Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

·  Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done

·  Works on cross functional teams

·  Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

·  Updates current die revisions – Updates revision when inspection is reflecting reoccurring issues

·  Controls inventory of dies and tooling – Works directly with the toolroom to ensure proper stock

·  Works together with business leadership

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment
