Role Summary/Purpose

The Plant Finance Analyst for the Ambassador site is responsible for providing P&L management, forecasts, operations finance leadership and Controllership. This role serves as a business partner to the site operating teams to drive business initiatives, business strategy, profitability, & growth. This role reports to the Global Repair Finance Manager and dotted line to the Site Leader.
Essential Responsibilities

• Partner with the Site leadership staff to drive operating performance & overall product cost reduction 
• Ownership of the site Financial Statements & Balance Sheet 
• Ownership of developing Monthly & Quarterly estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, and Growth Playbook (3-year Plan) 
• Drive VCP (Variable Cost Productivity) across the site with site leader 
• Lead cross-functional projects to drive simplification & cost-out across the organization 
• Effectively manage and coordinate across the site activities to achieve strong results & insightful analytics pertaining to the site performance. 
• Drive profitable growth by providing meaningful analysis of results, identifying & tracking site/product risks and opportunities, driving VCP programs, and developing actionable recommendations. 
• Provide finance leadership for long & short-term business investment decisions, balancing trade-off decisions. 
• Ensure accurate & clear management reporting in monthly & quarterly reviews with senior GEHC operating leaders  
• Create and drive consistent segment-level reporting and analytics; including developing tools to manage reporting efficiently and to define data requirements to support analysis & improve data visibility 
• Assist OTR team with inventory and Obso management

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and 2 years of financial work experience OR High School Diploma/GED and minimum of 6 years financial work experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews

• Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing 

• Motivated team player with an execution driven mindset 
• Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects, Spotfire etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup etc.)  
• Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values 

• Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.  
• Ability to work in a matrixed environment  
• Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations 
• Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others 
• Good understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP
• Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma  
• Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP); or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); Experienced Plant Leadership Program (EPLP) or graduate of other financial leadership programs
