Role Summary/Purpose

This position will assist with the Post Processing in the areas as designated and outlined in the responsibilities below.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Develop multi-axis N / C processes for additive manufactured parts (i.e., machining programs, machine tooling and associated equipment)

·  Contribute to process improvement efforts

·  Utilize Tool & Die manufacturing skills across a variety of machines

·  Learn and operate on-site Furnaces / Heat Treat equipment

·  Set up and operate machine tool equipment; both N / C and standard-types to support post processing cell activities

·  Work to SOP’s. WO’s, blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce development hardware

·  Perform in-process dimensional checks, including CMM operations / set up

·  Achieve delivery dates and expedite hardware in the Post Processing area of the shop

·  Generate NC Programs from a variety of CAD / CAM packages

·  Participate in and support production delivery meetings

·  Troubleshoot machine and process issues

·  Perform machine maintenance as required

·  Create standard operating procedures and process planning

·  Support revisions of production planning as appropriate

·  Provide guidance and training to other Post Processing employees

·  Provide data collection and perform analysis as required

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Associate’s Degree or Tool & Die Certification from an accredited trade school, college or university (Or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant Machinist experience)
Desired Characteristics

·  Machining experience on multiple types of equipment

·  Oral and written communication skills

·  Proven ability in interfacing with various teams, co-workers, support groups and different levels of management

·  Computer programming experience and Computer Aided Design experience

·  Higher level mathematics competency (geometry and trigonometry)

·  CMM Inspection or other digital equipment operation experience

·  Computer skills using such applications as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

·  3D Modeling experience

·  Proven NC machine / shop skills

·  Proven ability in working with minimal supervision and direction - self-starter

·  Experience in tooling and fixturing design

·  Proficient blueprint reading skills (geometric tolerances)

·  N / C programming experience (APT, UG / NX or other structured systems)

·  Ability to maintain relationships that facilitate task accomplishment; to cooperate and resolve conflicts; to recognize needs and be sensitive of others

·  Ability to receive guidance and supervision; follow work rules, safety practices, work procedures; meet deadlines; punctuality and attendance standards, etc.
