Role Summary/Purpose

The New unit spare Engineer is responsible for processing of Spare Parts List into GE systems supporting the New Unit Spare process.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Create Spare Part Lists for different inspections/operation for turbines and generators.

·  Customer Issue resolution, deals with all Parts Operations entities (Sourcing, Order Management, Sales, Services Managers, Technical Advisors, Design and Manufacturing Engineering).

·  Support Sales and Commercial managers when negotiating with customers, schedule proactively demands for spare parts lists, and prioritize assistance according to emergencies.

·  Verify applicability and fit of critical customer requests to application.

·  Responsible for ensuring accurate Unit records, working with other engineering teams.

·  Provide support to internal and external customers in support of sales initiatives.

·  Identify newly created part numbers and accurately complete engineering part definition attributes in a timely manner.

·  Attend working meetings and provide an update on open cases.

·  Identify units from production to schedule and create spare parts lists proactively.

·  Drive projects that improve/develop spare parts lists accuracy.

·  Follow EHS rules and warn others to follow the rules, execute mandatory EHS trainings and immediately report the incidents and near misses as required.

·  Further tasks not involved in this Job Description that the immediate leader/manager assigns either verbally or in writing.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Technical University or College Degree – in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent knowledge or work experience

·  Ability to read, interpret and comprehend technical documentation such as technical drawings, Bill of Materials, material specifications, electrical schematic diagrams, system block diagrams

·  Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)

·  Must be fluent in Writing/Speaking/Reading in English

·  Strong oral, written and telephonic communications skills in English

·  Ability to quickly and effectively learn business operating systems

·  Utilizes initiative and independent judgment in the performance of daily work tasks

·  Ability to properly prioritize expected work and execute assigned tasks

·  Ability to work in a matrix environment

·  Show ability to work in a cohesive, cooperative and professional manner

·  Ability to communicate and integrate across functions within the business

·  Detail oriented, organized, conscientious team player with strong sense of ownership

·  Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary.
Desired Characteristics

·  Experience with PLM, sBOM, Global Explorer (GE employees only)

·  Certified Black Belt/Green Belt (GE employees only)

·  intermediate level of French is an advantage

·  Prior experience in drafting, design engineering, or field engineering is preferred

·  Prior experience with COPICS/COSDOM, Parts ERP and DART is preferred

·  Ability to read drawings and have familiarity with BOM structures

·  Six Sigma training is preferred

·  Ability to design, sell, and implement process improvements
