Role Summary/Purpose

You will will be responsible for providing Support to business Digital Technology Operations in special environments like manufacturing shop floors, warehouses, labs or similar ones. Reporting into the DWS organization, you will partner business leadership to ensure continuity of Digital Technology operations. The role requires deep knowledge in IT Infrastructure, End-user technologies & manufacturing/shop floor environments as well as excellent customer relationship and organization skills.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Support of specific manufacturing/shop floor related client equipment like computers, rugged Ipads including standard IT tools and associated specific client applications Non PC IT Equipment Support: provide onsite triage, resolution and recommendation to non PC IT devices e.g. desktop/label printers, plotters, scanners. If required provide specific training & document instructions to be provided to users
·  IT infrastructure Hands & Eyes Support for other GE teams, like local network and servers
·  Installation, Move, Add and Change (IMAC) for special environment clients 
·  Telephony, mobility or tablet support: a combination of Hands & Eyes, problem analysis and resolution
·  Client Application Support for site Site specific or multi-site applications, e.g. Proficy, Maximo, TipQA, SAP Clients, attendance or security access systems, etc
·  Maintain/resolve all open incidents/tasks within ticket queue in a timely manner in relation to your special site environments
·  Hardware Break/Fix assistance and vendor management and support for computers supporting tooling machines and other special equipment
·  Local Server backup / restore Tape management provide tape exchange for backup and restore services
·  Local assets stock management, transportation of assets within the campus boxing / packing and despatching assets
·  Audio-Video systems local support assistance admin support include MAC and voicemail setup
·  Partner with Digital Workplace Products Team on new technology introduction projects or initiatives to ensure the site/campus is prepared to deploy and support the new solutions. (LAN Refresh, WAN upgrades, Security patching, etc) and additional specific support for the MyTech Lounge service when needed
·  Additional expertise in specific areas such as local Network or server administration on a site
·  Be a resource and guidance for customers with regards to Digital Workplace Solutions Team policies and procedures
·  Anticipate, identify and resolve problems, applying knowledge in complex, difficult or stressful situations
·  Communicate, orally and in writing, technical information to audiences at all levels of the organization
·  Maintain site information knowledge database including Site plans, Network diagrams, Standard operating procedures, inventories and ensure CMDB is up-to-date. Establish, adapt or maintain the site access management process and legal documents where required to facilitate efficient dispatch of resources external to the site (vendors, GE employees)
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technical / IT field with relevant IT work experience or equivalent knowledge/experience
·  Eperience with client (PC) technologies and support services
·  Legal authorization to work in the European Union or specific country is required. GE will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
·  EU work permit
·  Must be willing to work out of the office where the specific MyTech Lounge is located
·  Fluent written and spoken Italian
·  Good written and spoken English
