Role Summary/Purpose

The Electronics team at GE Research is looking for graduate level students who are interested in the research and development of Electronics devices and their integration into industrial and consumer products.
Essential Responsibilities

As an Intern within the Electronics and Sensing team you will be working closely with a highly experienced multidisciplinary team to continue the development of world leading technology for our wide range of customers. We have intern positions available and are looking for candidates interested in: high-frequency Microsystems or design of mixed-signal ASICs for high performance healthcare imaging applications. 

As an Engineering Intern you will: 

·  Work with a multidisciplinary team of Scientists, Engineers, and Technicians pushing the state of the art in Electronics 
·  Communicate progress and status updates with key stake holders within GE Research 
·  Design and testing of electronic devices 
·  Engage with engineers at both GE Research and GE businesses such as Healthcare and Aviation in developing technology for next-generation customer solutions

For the Mixed-Signal ASIC Design Internship, students should possess experience in the design and simulation of mixed-signal ASICs and proven design and analytic skills related to analog-to-digital conversion and testing.

For the Microsystems Internship, students should demonstrate experience designing and testing high frequency devices and have experience with RF tools.  
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Current enrollment pursuing a graduate degree in
Electrical Engineering or related degree program 
·  Must be willing to work out of an office located in
Niskayuna, NY 
·  Must be 18 years or older

·  Microsystems Specific Desired Skills: experience designing and testing high frequency devices; experience with RF simulation tools 
·  Mixed-Signal ASIC Design Specific Desired Skills: experience in the design and simulation of mixed-signal ASICs; design and analysis skills related to analog-to-digital conversion and testing.
