Role Summary/Purpose

In the 12-month Marketing Internship, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of marketing including stakeholder engagement, conducting competitor analysis, creating internal and external communication strategies, developing promotional material as well as digital content, preparing presentation/marketing material for events and supporting at events/meetings
Essential Responsibilities

You will be guided by structured goals and objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects. We will support you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE experience. Your manager will offer coaching and mentoring, and the Company will provide the opportunity to connect with other interns across the UK.

Promotional Material:
•Handle the localisation and creation of promotional items for 6 countries, which includes digital review and approval internally (Zinc/Veeva Software)
•Keep the trackers updated to monitor the status of a promotional material
•Monitor the SalesForce.com dashboard to ensure there are no expired materials available to the sales force
•Monitor ShowPad and ensure all pieces are uploaded and the ones already on the platform are valid
Digital:
•Handle digital promotion – support the usage of e-marketing tools to help interact directly with customers for events/seminars/congresses
•Assist agencies in the creation/design of adverts using computer skills
•Be prepared to tackle other opportunities presented to you by different members of the hierarchy within GE
As part of the marketing team:
•Collaborate with different stakeholders internally and externally
•Assist different departmental figures with promo creation: email campaigns, events, adverts for websites and magazines

Qualifications/Requirements

•Currently studying towards a Marketing/Business related degree – 2.1 degree or equivalent -penultimate/final year
•Passionate about Marketing 
•Interest in the industry
•Able to take ownership for projects and work to time limits
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Analytical and problem solving skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Office
•Able to work as part of a team•Attention to detail
•Numerate ability
