Role Summary/Purpose

The On Wing Support Engineering Specialist will be responsible for engineering
associated with the configuration, manufacturing (disassembly, service, and assembly) process and industrialization / standardization of the shop’s repair processes (Workscope and workstation preparedness) along with certifying Technicians. This position requires a developed foundation of functional skills and knowledge of new and relevant technologies
Essential Responsibilities

In this role, the OWS Engineering Specialist will: 

·  Support Certifying Staff with Engine Hardware / Tooling / Equipment configuration
Organize, track, acquire / order, and be responsible tooling and engine equipment through and at the site 
·  Conduct new Workscope capability reviews to identify tooling, equipment, material and workstation requirements 

·  Create and manage Stage Sheets for execution of Workscopes 
·  Identify, lead, and execute shop and engine cost reduction projects (bullet train, labor productivity, material cost, etc.)  
·  Improve Engine Delivery and defect reduction with technical solutions
Support site Trainer and Quality team with functional, on-the-job training development and instruction 
·  Mentor Engineering-related subjects as they pertain to Technicians’ band progression 

·  Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new products, tools, and equipment 
·  Spearhead facilities improvements and projects
Support Quality activities related to defect investigations and corrective action implementation from a technical perspective 
·  Some field work may be required
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Engineering degree or equivalent 
·  Minimum of 5 years of experience in a program or project leadership role within an engineering
environment {Including familiarity with common overhaul documentation (aircraft maintenance
manuals, Engines manuals, SBs, etc.)}
