Role Summary/Purpose

The Manufacturing Engineer, Process Improvement will assist with investigating root cause analysis along with facilitating process improvements at the Vandalia Plant. This position will report to the Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer and will focus on defining, designing, and implementing continuous improvement projects.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Implement operational excellence & continuous improvement throughout the site using Lean and Six Sigma principles

·  Monitor quality of materials and product using data analytics

·  Coordinate investigations in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework / repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause

·  Implement corrective and preventative action plans

·  Act as a change agent around continuous improvement opportunities

·  Review and analyze process data for continuous improvement and implement changes

·  Work directly on the production floor with the team members

·  Serve as focal for site layout improvements

·  Maintain and enforce safe work practices and adhere to environmental, safety, and health standards

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

·  Knowledge in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
