Role Summary/Purpose

The Major Component Exchange Consulting & Operations Engineer demonstrates the leadership and technical/operational expertise necessary to assess regional capabilities, build and execute strategic plans to address and close gaps, identify and leverage best practices to establish/deploy standard work practices globally that will enable us to achieve safety and financial goals.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Sr Services Project Manager, you will:

·  Lead regional Major Component Exchange (MCE) capability assessments and develop technical & operational capabilities to support productivity and growth targets including assessing current capabilities (tools, parts, skills capability / readiness), define gaps / needs and execute a plan to close the gaps
·  Drive cross regional best practice and continuous improvement sharing
·  Establish global standard work to include process, tooling and training
·  Develop regional MCE technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
·  Define MCE SME required skills, training and competency paths
·  Work with regional operations and training teams to implement training programs and track qualifications
·  Work with regions to capture field / operations input to improved serviceability for NPI / Repower / Cost Out programs  
·  Support RTS & Field issues as a SME and/or solution engineer
·  Define, document, and operationalize existing and new repair developments including handoff packages / documentation, establishing regional operations readiness, and creation / execution of training plans
·  Training will include digital, classroom & on the job training (OJT) that is delivered globally where applicable
·  Stay current on trends in the industry and evaluate specialized tooling & repairs being developed by third parties and competitors to determine applicability and benefits to increase our safety and competitiveness
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years of field engineering experience)
·  Minimum of 3 years experience developing, deploying and executing wind major component exchanges
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·  Ability and willingness to travel 30 - 40% of the time, which includes international travel and must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies
Desired Characteristics

·  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
·  Extensive major component exchange & rigging experience
·  Established project management skills
·  Prior Field Engineering experience
·  Proficiency in technical writing and process documentation
·  Project coordination / Change Management / Influencing / Leadership skills
·  Experience with leading initiatives cross functionally involving functional and P&L teams
·  Strong oral and written communication skills
·  Self-starter and able to work with limited supervision
·  Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
·  Safety conscious
·  Detail orientated
·  Strong analytical skills
·  Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
·  Ability to work across all functions / levels as part of a team
·  Six Sigma certification or equivalent quality certification
