Role Summary/Purpose

The Learning Solutions Designer will work with the Learning Solutions Leader to enable the Aviation Learning & Development Team to implement effective learning solutions to build the capabilities of GE Aviation employees across the world. This role will create impact by applying best practices for adult learning and instructional design processes to assist with the development of engaging learning solutions for a variety of modalities (online, blended, classroom, synchronous, asynchronous).
Essential Responsibilities

·  Use authoring programs and industry standard tools to develop engaging multimedia and learning interactions

·  Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance of learning solutions with necessary standards and guidelines

·  Contribute to the evaluation of contemporary trends and emerging technologies

·  Build strong relationships within the learning community of the business

·  Consult with, and create toolkits for, other learning professionals in support of the instructional design and delivery process to enhance their learning offerings

·  Contribute to the continuous improvement of learning design processes

·  Collaborate with team members on other projects as assigned

·  Manage and prioritize work on multiple simultaneous projects

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (i.e. Instructional Systems Design, Adult Learning, Education) from an accredited university or college

·  Three years of professional experience in contemporary instructional design and development including:

·  Knowledge of adult learning principles and techniques

·  Experience creating effective and engaging learning interactions

·  Experience with establishing relationships and collaborating on team projects

·  Experience training others on the use of various instructional technologies and techniques

·  Experience with contemporary design and multimedia programs (i.e. Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, Verse)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):

·  Ability and Willingness to travel 15% of the time

·  Applicants will be asked to share a professional portfolio

·  Master’s Degree in a related field (i.e. Instructional Systems Design, Adult Learning, Education) from an accredited university or college

·  Strong oral and written communication skills

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

·  Ability to work independently

·  Strong problem solving skills
