Role Summary/Purpose
The Engineer – Mechanical Component is an individual contributor. The major thrust of this position is leading the design projects with the team to support NPI, ITO and OTR customer needs. This involves the application of mechanical design skills to manage F2F generator design, 2D drawings & 3D models, generator part-list and Q-documentations. Other activities will be involved in directing drafting and supporting manufacturing and outside customers/suppliers/business partners.
Essential Responsibilities
· Perform requisition design activities, meeting schedules and cost objectives.
· Adaptation of standard documentation to project specific requirements
· Perform Design Analysis.
· Support Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field Services, and Installation activities as required.
· Interface with other design groups: NPI, Steam and Gas Turbine, etc.
· Support Cost-out, cycle reduction, and product quality enhancement projects.
· Response to customer and site questions, customer presentations
· Evaluation of erection, commissioning and operation data
· Possess an excellent understanding of the fundamentals of mechanical design and analysis.
· Work in close collaboration with rotor, stator, electrical design teams to ensure the homogeneity of the generator
· Personal development in technical skills, in personal skills, and in culture and ability to keep budget, quality and schedule
Qualifications/Requirements
· Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
· Technical knowledge of generators
· Experience in CAD Software
· Oral and written communication skills in English and Polish language
