Role Summary/Purpose

In this role, you will be the Kaizen Promotion Officer and Manufacturing Supervisor for a commercial nuclear fuel manufacturing operation. You will manage the overall continuous improvement plan for the facility that builds components for use in manufacturing of nuclear fuel for commercial use.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Kaizen Promotion Officer/Manufacturing Supervisor essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·  Manage the overall continuous improvement plan for the facility, and standardized work to enhance employee capabilities, safety, increase customer satisfaction and improve efficiencies.
·  Provide expertise to manage workshops for analyzing and fixing non‐conformances and improve customer feedbacks, mastering methodologies like SMED, 5S and general Kaizen approach.
·  Work with employees and management to develop ways to improve processes.
·  Prioritize, coordinate assistance, keep a visual log of projects in process, measure improvements and celebrate implementations.
·  Provide coordination assistance for process improvement events as they arise, including other ideas and initiatives as they come up.
·  Perform additional duties/projects as assigned by management and/or Supervisor.  This includes filling in as front line leader when needed.
·  Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel
·  Ensure team members are provided adequate training, resources and support to assume safe and compliant manufacturing practices in nuclear regulated environment
·  Be responsible for meeting the shift’s strict EHS requirements, product quality requirements and production schedule requirements.
·  Work with manufacturing, engineering, support functions and manufacturing leadership to provide technical, quality, and production leadership
·  Communicate business goals, programs, and processes to shift.  Promote team engagement and ownership, continuous training.  Develop and support the growth of all team members.
·  Support manufacturing leaders in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment and other resources
·  Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited university/college with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance leadership role  OR a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance leadership role  OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance leadership role and a minimum of 5 years of experience in FCO

·  Ability and willingness to work off-shifts as required
·  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred
·  Strong organizational skills
·  Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
·  Manufacturing supervision experience
·  Proven communication and interpersonal skills
·  Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
·  Ability to interpret engineering documentation, such as P&IDs
·  Nuclear plant operations or services experience
·  Experience using corrective action tools and techniques
