Role Summary/Purpose

As part of the GE India Multi-modal Manufacturing team, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for enabling the production activity by planning of manpower and material, job allocation, shift scheduling , fixture management, WIP management.
Essential Responsibilities

1. Knowledge of material flow and inventory.
2. Knowledge of fixtures and consumables.
3.Computer operating knowledge :MS office-Word/excel/powerpoint
4. Sound operating knowledge of ERP systems-Oracle
5. Support through data collection the statistical approach on manufacturing performance reporting and analysis on manufacturing variances
6. Actively support EHS programs in the plant
7. Co-relation with concerned departments to conduct various cross functional activities
8. Basic operating knowledge of all the machines.
9. Assist PTL for raw material delivery to shop floor and moving components through required processes till converting into finished products.
10. Inventory control on shop floor including WIP return.
11. Maintain shop floor documents
Qualifications/Requirements

1. Highest Levels of Personal Integrity and Safety Mindset.
2. First Class diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
3. 2-3 Years of experience in engineering industry.
4. Knowledge in MS office ; Oracle system
