Role Summary/Purpose

As a Healthcare Benefits and Programs Delivery Intern you will be responsible for one or more Healthcare Benefits and Programs Delivery process(s). Develop effective relationships with the internal and external suppliers that administer the process(s). Assist with identifying and resolving operational issues & support process improvements. Work cross functionally with internal teams and suppliers.
Essential Responsibilities

This intern will add value on either the Healthcare Benefits and Programs Delivery team This intern will have the opportunity to own and deliver on portions on several relevant plan projects - focused on administering healthcare benefits and programs for GE employees and their families across the globe – and projects to support GE’s compliance and cost containment strategies based on policy execution and changes for healthcare benefits.

All internships will require completion of a mutually agreeable project and support for the team’s daily operations.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: 

·  Develop innovative healthcare Supplier controllership and audit tools 

·  Develop and utilize root cause and data analysis techniques and strategy 
·  Develop and execute rigorous system testing templates 
·  Initiate and develop Supplier management skill set by involvement in plan implementations and other supplier initiatives 
·  Maintain and improve web application testing protocols
• Initiate and develop project management templates and techniques to ensure successful execution of team deliverables 
·  Continuously look to identify process improvements and create action plans for simplification 
·  Participate and provide training to foster knowledge transfer within the organization 
·  Scorecard maintenance / Tool kits (including development and tracking) 
·  Create and deliver impactful and effective presentations, including preparation/facilitation for key project updates and report outs 
·  Engage in customer service / GE business relation improvement initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Must be a full-time, matriculated student at an accredited college or university for the entire internship  
·  Must be a Senior or in Grad School with a minimum GPA of 3.0 
·  Must commit to one year (no summer internships) 
·  Must meet minimum hour requirements: 20 hours per week during school, 40 hours per week when school is not in session 
·  Must be authorized to work in the US
