Role Summary/Purpose
Lead and manage Site Improvement projects including expansions, building modifications, and major technology and equipment investments. In the initial year, help lead Site Industrial activities for a transfer of work project to bring a new product and production lines into the facility. Design fixtures, tools and processes for new and existing products to improve safety, quality and productivity. Support Lean and Continuous improvement factory initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities
· Project management, ability to manage contractors and site projects
· Lead and participate in industrial and capital investment projects in manufacturing environment
· Design, draft production tools, fixtures and equipment
· Support production/inventory teams to improve safety, quality and productivity in manufacturing & inventory control
· Participate in new product development cycle, in order to optimize “design for assembly”
· Participate in lean AWO as required
· Support Lean initiatives and actions
· Moonshine team support (production racks, carts, fixtures)
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
· Minimum of 4 years of engineering and project management experience
Desired Characteristics
· Strong project management skills, planning, activity follow-up
· Experience with tooling and fixture design and implementation
· Experience with 3D model software. ie ProE, AutoCAD, SolidWorks
· Experience with production line layout, process flows & design improvement
· Experience in MS Office software including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
· Experience working cooperatively and effectively in a team environment
· Lean Manufacturing experience
· Preferred Six Sigma experience
· Preferred ergonomic training/experience
