Role Summary/Purpose

Our GE Healthcare Life Sciences site in Logan, UT is looking for a full-time HR Intern to support local HR efforts. This will include supporting staffing efforts from recruiting to on-boarding, assisting to create talent management tools, and promoting cultural engagement efforts.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Create and refresh postings for Operations Associates, ensuring sufficient advertising presence
internally and externally. 
·  Review and manage applications in Applicant Tracking System, updating statuses and refreshing
posting information as needed. 
·  Schedule candidates and assessors for interview sessions. 
·  Prepare for and facilitate interview sessions. 
·  Communicate internally with leaders across many groups to coordinate and debrief interview
sessions. 
·  Communicate interview outcomes to candidates and leadership. 
·  Schedule and facilitate Refresher/Training Sessions for assessors. 
·  Submit all relevant forms for processing interview outcomes (evaluation forms, source of hire, and
offer requests). 
·  Update HRIS tools to reflect interview and hire outcomes. 
·  Track and communicate data on standard HR metrics (time to fill, attrition, etc.). 
·  Communicate with and assist job candidates in completing required pre-hire tasks. 
·  Schedule new hires and facilitators for Orientation days.
·  Aid in facilitating onboarding tasks before, on, and after start dates. 
·  Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care. 
·  Proactively identify areas for improvement within assigned current processes. 
·  Support site projects/communications as requested. 
·  Perform assignments where trust, discretion, and accuracy are required

Candidates should note that this role will be in scope for the proposed transition of GE Biopharma to Danaher and will transfer to Danaher at close of this transaction.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Associate's degree from an accredited university or college in related field, OR High School Diploma (or local equivalent) with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

·  Availability to work ~40 hrs/week Monday-Friday during typical business hours, with flexibility to support operations needs on occasion (may be as early as 6am or as late as 11pm).
·  Internship would be expected to begin in January/February
and last until August/September, depending on business need and availability of
selected candidate.
Desired Characteristics

·  Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
·  HR Education preferred or other understanding of employment laws. 
·  Solid interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. 
·  Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy. 
·  Ability to recognize when to escalate issues. 
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). 
·  Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines. 
·  Previous experience using independent thought processes to plan ahead, process information,
maintain workflow and anticipate future needs of the team. 
·  Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. 
·  Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction. 
·  Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines. 
·  Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a diverse team.
