Role Summary/Purpose
The primary function of the job is to receive and stock parts, maintain inventory accuracy, kit jobs for assembly and pack parts /units for shipping.
Essential Responsibilities
Receive and stock material, supplies, and tools by utilizing a forklift, pallet jack, or any other necessary equipment.
Kit jobs assuring correct parts are being issued.
Packaging of material following written instructions to assure material is not damaged in handling or shipment.
Review shipping paperwork to ensure items shipped reach the proper destination.
Uncrate, unpack shipping containers, and remove from pallets, any material or equipment received.
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma / GED from accredited school with six months experience handling and preparing materials for assembly.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Working hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the applicable DOT/FAA regulations.
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
Desired Characteristics
Good dexterity.
Ability to use basic hand tools, electronic scale/counter, and tape machines.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision and work to written job instructions.
Must have basic computer skills within a Windows environment.
Responsible for self-inspection of own work.
Keen attention to detail.
