Essential Responsibilities

GE Healthcare Electrical Engineering co-ops work on a variety of assignments with responsibilities and hands-on involvement in areas of new product design and install base support. There will be project-oriented assignments where a manager and mentor are assigned for support. These positions will work primarily with Anesthesia and Respiratory Care (ARC) products. 

Electrical engineering co-ops utilize a combination of structured and creative to design quality anesthesia and respiratory care systems with the goal of delivering quality, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to all customers. 

Electrical Engineering Co-ops act as key team members interacting with cross disciplinary teams to design, review, and document the design process. These individuals work hands-on with existing and new products to improve, optimize, and evaluate electrical designs. Working with experienced engineers, co-ops will be responsible for Semiconductor design and engineering; designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (in a 4.0 scale) 
·  High self-confidence 
·  Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms. 

·  Demonstrated analytical ability and technical competency in Biomedical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering areas. 

·  Proven Leadership skills and experience. 
·  Strong Initiative and ability to work independently and in teams. 
·  Able to work for a minimum of 28 weeks. 
·  Must be willing to relocate.  
·  Must be a full-time student pursuing a degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis in Electrical or Computer Engineering related fields. 
·  The ability to deliver valuable results and meet given deadlines.

·  Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing or research experience in the design field 

·  Strong commitment to a career in technology and a passion for engineering. 
·  Demonstrated analytic approach to problem solving.

·  Digital and analog system design experience 
·  Circuit analysis skills
