Role Summary/Purpose

The Factory Buyer is responsible for completion of high-value transactions for GE manufactured parts to support fulfilment of global customer spare parts orders for combined cycle power plants
Essential Responsibilities

·  Place demand of services spare parts needs on internal factories.

·  Interface and coordinate with Material Planners, Factories, Quality, Finance, Parts Fulfilment, Warehouse, Transport Logistics and Strategic Sourcing teams.

·  Process Offers, Purchase Orders, monitor on-time delivery and apply invoice controls.

·  Manage short cycle demands, customer emergencies, expedite past-due and critical deliveries.

·  Provide availability statements to meet customer demands/sales targets.

·  Facilitate inventory management by acting on cancellation requests.

·  Prepare metrics and report results to leadership.

·  Communicate the forecast to the factory securing capacity to meet the build plan.

·  Evaluate and drive resolution on material quality and supply issues including NCR’s.

·  Coordinating intercompany transactions between GE warehouses.

·  Coordinating logistics and drive resolution on logistics/customs issues.

·  Support Commercial and Product qualifications

·  Process ITO workflows (OSIP tasks).

·  Maintain Material Master data (SAP).

·  Initiate and process claims.

·  Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with internal customers and suppliers
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations or equivalent knowledge or work experience (with strong experience)

·  Significant experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing and/or Services

·  Strong experience in areas of procurement/sourcing

·  Ability to work in a cross functional, global, and multi-tasked environment

·  Experience and knowledge of SAP essential

·  Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

·  Excellent communication level of spoken and written English (in addition German/French beneficial)

·  Technical or functional experience with gas/steam turbine products and manufacturing processes beneficial

·  Excellent planning and decision-making abilities

·  Performance-oriented and systematic approach to work

·  Result-oriented, with a strong ability to achieve objectives

·  Independent, takes initiative

·  Flexible, highly perceptive, good learning ability

·  Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary.
