Role Summary/Purpose

Exciting opportunities exist for Avionics Systems and Control engineers to be part of our Avionics organisation. In this role you will perform systems engineering tasks in a wide variety of complex avionics programmes, and help grow capability to satisfy emerging opportunities in both the civil and military aviation sector.

You will utilise your knowledge and experience to solve systems engineering problems and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Capturing, understanding and documenting the stakeholder requirements 
·  Modelling and capturing system requirements 
·  Creating system designs which specify control, display, monitoring and built in test functions for implementation in electronic hardware and software
·  Design avionics systems architectures in co-operation with aircraft manufacturers 
·  Create model-based designs using state-of-the-art computer aided engineering tools  
·  Creating and performing systems tests 
·  Perform avionics system analysis, modelling and simulation 
·  Develop requirements for systems test facilities 
·  Define aircraft installation requirements for avionics systems
Qualifications/Requirements

·  An appropriate degree or HND in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics, similar subject, or equivalent experience 
·  Knowledge of creating system designs, for implementation in hardware and software 
·  Knowledge of creating and performing systems tests 
·  An understanding of embedded software and / or hardware engineering 
·  Good written and verbal communication skills

·  Use of system design and modelling tools (e.g. SysML/UML, MATLAB, Simulink) 
·  Experience of the systems design lifecycle within aerospace or a similar industry
