Role Summary/Purpose

The role of the Repair Engineer is to develop repairs for combustors and other components of GE aircraft engines that meet all relevant technical specifications, design practices and certification requirements
Essential Responsibilities

·  Develop repairs and repair technologies for combustors used on General Electric’s Commercial Engine Fleet while applying state of art manufacturing technologies to resolve complex repair challenges 

·  Develop, revise, and coordinate technical and regulatory approval for repairs or repair enhancements for Commercial Engine Shop Manual (ESM) publication 

·  Provide specific technical solutions to shop production issues 
·  Support shop industrialization of new repairs by review of Repair Source Substantiation packages
·  Provide engineering support to teams working on performance, cost reduction, and quality initiatives 
·  Technical support to MRO shops to provide on-going hardware solutions and industrialize and/or qualify new repairs
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 
·  3 years of experience in an Engineering position with Manufacturing. design, or repair experience 
·  Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, MRO or design Experience in repair processes including welding, brazing, coating, stripping and machining, and inspection
