Role Summary/Purpose

GE Aviation is offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft engine design and analysis, in a technology base; Turkey Technology Center, located in Gebze, Kocaeli.
Essential Responsibilities

· With guidance from senior engineering resources, perform detailed Finite Element Analysis tasks and engineering reports for specific engine components and/or parts that meet business standards and program / product requirements
· Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data to internal and external GE Aviation Engineering customers
· Conduct stress and life analyses in support of engine certifications and qualifications, design optimization stress analyses to meet Stress&Life goals, failure investigations and test capability assessment of engine hardware
· Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with GE engineering policies and procedures
Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering Departments of universities (Master's Degree is a plus)
· Having courses in Gas Turbine Design, Elasticity, Finite Element Methods and Vibration topics
· Preferably 1-3 years of experience in a Stress Analysis role. Finite element analysis using ANSYS/Hypermesh or other commercial FEA software
· Good knowledge of mechanics of materials, numerical methods and design hand calculations
· Ability and interest to learn scripting techniques to improve productivity
- Have strong engineering outlook, hands-on engineering foundation and eager to learn
· Excellent command of written and spoken English
