Role Summary/Purpose
This engineering role will work alongside a team of engineers of varying experience to develop and support complex products primarily used in the aerospace market (i.e. valves, actuators, temperature controllers, fans). This individual will be responsible for designing and building electronic test fixtures and engineering support for electronics production. The candidate should be passionate about designing, building, and troubleshooting circuits.
Essential Responsibilities
· Contribute to NPI programs by working closely with test engineers to:
· Design and document circuits and PCBs for test fixtures and new electronics design
· Build test fixtures, support calibration
· Design and build wiring harnesses
· Maintain and service production test fixtures
· Mitigate obsolescence for electronic components for production
· Troubleshoot electronic product failures down to the component level
· Maintain and recommend additional lab equipment needed to support design and development of aerospace products
· Specify and setup electrical test equipment for data monitoring and collection
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical field from an accredited university or college
Desired Characteristics
· Hands-on work attitude
· Working knowledge of lab instruments, including oscilloscopes, DVMs, function generators, data loggers
· Proficient in soldering and reading schematics
· Circuit simulation ability
