Role Summary/Purpose

If you love technology and want a career in engineering, the Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is for you! EEDP is an entry-level engineering program consisting of rotational assignments and technical training. GE is committed to the development of tomorrow’s technologists, who have a real passion for technology and drive for technical excellence.

Please note, that program will start around mid-2020.
Essential Responsibilities

The program is designed to accelerate your professional development through challenging technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments. Edison graduates have the technical and business foundation to innovate and create the future of flight with GE.

In addition, the EEDP candidate will:

·  Work on at least 3 rotations over 2 years in a variety of disciplines / business segments

·  Receive technical training, mentorship and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers

·  Participate in leadership development training with GE program members from other businesses and locations

·  Plan and perform assigned tasks within the framework of areas’ schedules, budget, quality and cost constraints while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness

·  Demonstrate ability to understand and apply engineering fundamentals in the business environment

·  Demonstrate analytical / problem solving through number orientation

·  Collaborate with manager in setting realistic and challenging operation goals

·  Contribute to their accomplishment

·  Propose new analyses, techniques and methodologies with respect to specific area of responsibility where applicable

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering with academic excellence or equivalent knowledge or experience

·  Dedication to a career in technology and a real passion for engineering

·  Knowledge of advanced mathematics (including but not exclusively limited to calculus and differential equations)

·  Experience in writing technical reports

·  Fluent proficiency in English
