Essential Responsibilities

· R&D new product development project: be responsible of a new product schematic design, quality and performance solution; and works according to the project planning defined by the R&D PM. Whilst support R&D GIS design to other design engineers.
· Plan and control the calculation and simulation internally or at CTC. Write arguments justifying his choices in order to keep record and traceability of decisions. Estimate and control the product costs.
· Perform the prototype tests with testing team and analyse the product testing reports and compare to target performances. Prepare all necessary documents for the project, which will be used for prototype ordering, assembly, testing, and later for the product tendering, selling, engineering, and industrialization.
· Keep the know-how, in order to limit the risks to repeat mistakes, or face the same difficulties during the next product development. Report to leader about project design progress
· Innovation: investigate and attend to competitors’ technology. Make innovation of new technology for a long-term development. Analyse and summarizes the information of certain new design for patents.
· Technical support: look for optimized technical solutions and propose technical solutions for existing product. Be aware of the technical limits in order to better measure and manage the risks.
· Advise other departments orally, supplies them with the necessary information demonstrating the performances. Support tendering, contract, and sales, to answer to customers’ request. Support other design engineers in GIS design
· Trainer: train new comers. Train the technical engineer for new product technology. Train and instruct young design engineers in R&D
· EHS: Respect EHS policy and instruction of company
Qualifications/Requirements

· Education background with the major of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering or related high voltage.
· Bachelor’s degree or above.
· More than five years’ of direct HV GIS R&D experiences.
· Familiar with design related software.
· Open esprit to the technical work.
· Initiative, esprit of working in-group.
· Patient, attentive.
