Role Summary/Purpose

This role will assist in privacy portfolio management, privacy reviews, incident management, and other privacy projects. The individual will be assigned to other privacy tasks in support of the identification, implementation and maintenance of the information privacy practices, standards and procedures. This role will also plan and provide analytical support for facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, and business management techniques.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Lead privacy reviews in collaboration with a dispersed privacy team across all GE Aviation territories globally via a virtual setting.

·  Maintain current knowledge of relevant privacy laws, regulations accreditation standards, compliance requirements, monitor external
developments to ensure organizational adoption and compliance.

·  Strong knowledge of regulations on the international and national levels, such as GDPR and CCPA is also essential. CIPP, CIPM, CIPT or other relevant certifications offered by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) preferred.

·  Supporting the design and implementation of data governance by assisting in operationalizing processes to support privacy and data governance controls to manage data throughout the lifecycle, including data mapping, data subject rights, data protection impact assessments, data minimization and data retention requirements.

·  Building data inventories and process-mapping the business to understand and document where data resides and assessing risks.

·  Producing reports on the privacy program and maintaining the Record of Processing Activities.

·  Ensuring compliance with privacy policies, procedures and work flows.

·  Using data visualization tools to produce privacy dashboards and reports.

·  Performing data discovery exercises and managing data in suitable formats.

·  Understanding technical terminology to translate between technical and privacy teams on regulatory requirements.

·  Partnering with data governance and information security teams to develop data analytics capabilities and embed privacy within new technologies, including designing rule engines and privacy-by-default methodologies.

·  Candidates should have strong experience in operationalizing data privacy and must have experience in conducting and documenting privacy impact assessments (PIA) and data subject access requests (DSAR), including identifying how personal data is processed, appropriate privacy requirements and any associated privacy risks.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience

·  Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Desired Characteristics

·  Master's degree with Compliance or Data Privacy experience

·  In-depth understanding of global privacy concepts, including familiarity with key principles, and proven ability to interpret federal, state, and international regulations (GDPR, e-Privacy, Data Breach and CCPA) and common risk frameworks, as well as a strong respect for the rights of individuals to their personal data.

·  Assesses privacy and security risks from a technical, process or business perspective and to implement appropriate controls.

·  Understands how to Influence adjacent resources to achieve objectives in furtherance of the privacy program.

·  Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc.

·  May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies.

·  May audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.

·  The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Data Analytics, or other Technical degree, and 2 years of experience as a Global Compliance Analyst preforming data privacy, data protection and information life-cycle analysis

·  IAPP certifications, Agile practitioner

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·  Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and problem solving skills

·  Excellent organizational skills and problem solving abilities and attention to detail Able to work independently and within a global virtual team environment

·  Experience working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects
