Your position and environment?
Our Faurecia Automotive Seating Business Group – Seat Structure System Division is looking for you as a Process Specialist Manufacturing Engineering, in Sao Joao da Madeira, Portugal
The Process Specialist Manufacturing Engineering is responsible to implement new production tooling / equipment, from technical specification until start-up in Production Plant.
Main missions:
Study of Customer’s request (Product with diversity, Quality constraints, Process constraints, …)
Read and understand 3D & 2D Products drawings and control Measurements reports
Write Technical Specification to ask Suppliers for quotes
Compare and challenge suppliers
Lead sourcing committee to select the supplier
Manage, follow-up and validate all supplier’s activities (design review, manufacturing, commissioning@Supplier, start-up@Faurecia plant until reaching Project objectives (Safety, Quality, Planning, Cost)
Support Design Office, Programs, Plants and Suppliers for process issues
Able to analyze the right data to optimize cycle time and to solve problem
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tooling and Equipment
Support production / suppliers to solve problems
Engineering change management : Analyze, validate, and implement process modifications related to his/her field of expertise
Take into account Feedback / plant’s recommendations for process issues
Ensure application of standard processes
Identify best practices for his / her expertise network
Validate technology choices
Ensure product manufacturability
Provide Engineering Deliverables
Support Program Manufacturing Leader during all project phases
The mission will last 12 months.
Who are you?
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Master’s Degree/Engineering Diploma
Knowledge in : Welding technologies: Laser or Arc or Spot; Welding tooling; Welding equipment; Other Assembly technologies (Riveting, Fastening, …); Robotic
Autonomous, rigorous, good relationship, ability to work in foreign or plant environment
Knowledge in Problem Solving tools (QRQC, …)
Development or Maintenance (could be a pros)
Good communication skills
Lean Manufacturing knowledge
Program Management System knowledge
Language : French, English (able to communicate, write and read), Portuguese is appreciated
Availability to travel to follow/support our Suppliers and Customer’s plants in Portugal, France, Poland, Czech Republic.
