EYGDS’sTax Innovation, Solutions and Technology (IST) group as well as the Tax Tech Transformation (TTT)team’s mission is to develop, implement and integrate technology solutions that better serve our clients and engagement teams. As a member of EY’s core Tax practice, you’ll develop a deep tax technical knowledge and outstanding database, data analytics and programming skills.  

 

Ever-increasing regulations require tax departments to gather, organize and analyse more data than ever before. Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization. Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company.  

 

EY's GDSIST and TTTteam members work side-by-side with the firm's partners, clients and tax technical subject matter experts to develop and incorporate technology solutions that enhance value-add, improve efficiencies and enable our clients with disruptive and market leading tools supporting Tax.  

 

GDSIST and TTT teamworks closely with clients and professionals in the following areas: Federal Business Tax Services, Partnership Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Indirect Tax Services, Human Capital, and Internal Tax Services. GDS Tax Technology provides solution architecture, application development, testing and maintenance support to the global TAX service line both on a pro-active basis and in response to specific requests.  

 

EY is currently seeking an AssistantManagerto join our Tax Technology practice in Bangalore, In

KeyResponsibilities 

· 

·  Responsible for portfolio/program management for multiple critical projects that will require matrix management of project activities across all participating functional areas. Project assignments could be broad in nature requiring conceptualization and initiatives. 
·  Plan and supervise activities for multiple small and large-scale projects.  
·  Initiate and drive project planning activities such as Statement of Work and Management (Project Change Control), Stakeholder Identification and matrix Human Resource Management, Risk & Issues Management, Communication Management, and regular project status reporting  
·  Setand manage Portfolio / Program expectations ensuring all applicable functional areas are engaged on the programs 
·  Prepare and conduct informal and formal presentationsdependencies and critical path. 
·  Create and maintain a project schedule for each project by identifying and monitoring resource estimates, overall project timeline, project milestones, task dependencies and critical path. 
·  Control and track project performance in respect to Time, Cost, and Quality by constantly evaluating project progress, conducting regular team status meetings, reporting project status on periodic basis to management and the project team, executing and updating management plans as necessary, resolving issues and maintaining documentation 
·  Create and maintain a project schedule for each project by identifying and monitoring resource estimates, overall project timeline, project milestones,and task. 
·  Support GDS Tax Technology Manager and lead different project work streams working with Data Analytics, Process Excellence, IT Services and Tax SMEs. 
·  Oversee project delivery on a variety of engagements, incorporating technology to address complex tax problems.  
·  Manage projects in a demanding, time-sensitive environment and deliver high-quality solutionsthrough the use ofcross-functional teams and remote resources.

Qualification & Experience Required 

 

·  Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Software Engineering /Information Technology / MBA / MCA. 
·  At least one certification: PMP / CAPM / Prince2 / ITIL V3 
·  An overall7–9years’ experience withat least5–6years of relevanthands onproject management experiencefordeliveringlarge scaleenterprise-wideapplications. 
·  Good interpersonal communication and team skills required to operate as a contributing member of global technical teamsthat deliver quality services. 
·  Strong knowledge and experience in all IT methodologies and life cycles that will be used.  
·  Possesses an understanding of ITServices: service offerings, technical standards and policies, technical and business strategies as well as organizational structure.  
·  Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and a proven ability to thrive under pressure.  
·  Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies. 
·  Experience inAgile/Scrummethodology.
