GDS TAS Business Modelling

Within GDS TAS, the Valuation and Business Modeling group helps clients understand the value of their business, their securities, intellectual property, capital equipment, intangibles and other assets. The group is comprised of several key areas, including Business Valuation, Business Modeling, Capital Equipment and Complex Securities.

With over 2,000 Valuation and Business Modelling professionals worldwide (150 in GDS TAS), no similarly positioned global professional organization can match our breadth of capabilities or our depth of resources.

Our Business Modeling group helps create social and economic value for our clients by helping them make more informed decisions about strategically managing capital and transactions.

Responsibilities
·  Be a part of engagement teams, help executing Business Modelling services which support key decision makers in developing and implementing their transaction, financing or operational decisions.
·  Perform detailed reviews of financial models, arrive at preliminary conclusions and present the findings in a report format to clients
·  Manage engagements for modeling transactions (mergers and acquisitions), financial feasibility of projects, corporate and debt restructuring, and corporate strategy
·  Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed
·  Active participation in report generation and detailed financial modeling
·  Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with EY employees globally
·  Mentor professionals at the staff level
·  Demonstrate responsibility and work co-operatively with engagement team members
·  Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided
·  Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to our interests as well as the clients’ business

Job requirements
·  A post graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (CA) or Business with 2-4 years of related work experience
·  A minimum of 2 years of direct experience in Financial Modeling and Valuation or experience in a Corporate Finance role in an organization, preferably in debt raising activities in a finance environment project
·  Preferable exposure to VBA
·  Advanced knowledge and experience in any of the following sectors will be added advantage – Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Power and Utilities and Financial Services
·  Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal and teaming skills
·  Willingness to travel, when necessary
