Job Summary:  

EY is seeking a sql developer familiar with designing, building and modifying data models and stored procedures in Azure SqlDb.  This person will play a role in creating standards from the perspective of ensuring new and changing data structures within the environment are compliant with company design standards and naming conventions 

Essential Functions of the Job:

·  Creation and maintenance of conceptual, logical and physical database models
·  Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis
·  Documentation of functional requirements and system specifications in Azure Dev Ops
·  Document and adhere to development standards and best practices in database designs
·  Demonstrate proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options, and where appropriate, leading to resolution
·  Maintaining highly effective and consistent communication within the team, peers, and the leadership team
·  Hands-on experience in designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions on Azure
·  8+ years T-SQL coding experience on large projects working with newer versions of SQL Server (2014 and newer)
·  Experience applying SAFe/Scrum/Kanban methodologies
·  Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges
·  The senior role will be required to provide mentoring and leadership to more junior team members
·  Must possess expert programming, performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
·  Reverse engineer sql code and modify it to solve problems/issues
·  Experience with large scale data warehousing environments
·  Experience with change management procedures
·  Strong analytical skills with excellent communication abilities (written and verbal)
·  Collaborate with data architects for data model management and version control
·  Conduct data model reviews with project team members
·  Create data objects and sql scripts
·  Collaborate with BI teams to create reporting data structures

Minimum Qualifications

·  5+ years demonstratable work as a sql developer
·  Experience designing data warehousing solutions
·  In-depth understanding of database structure principles
·  Self-starter requiring minimal supervision and possesses excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills
·  Seamlessly able to translate business requirements to technology requirement

Preferred Qualifications

·  Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, Toad or ER/Studio
·  Accounting and/or Tax knowledge
·  Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Azure Sql, Azure Data Flow
·  Strong working experience designing ETL solutions (Azure Data Factory & SSIS)
·  Expertise with No-SQL databases such as Azure Cosmos DB
