EY- Consulting - Technology Risk – SAM-Staff

 

As part of our EY- Consulting Technology Risk team you’ll contribute technically to IT risk and Software Asset management client engagements and internal projects. An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You’ll also identify potential business opportunities for Ernst & Young within existing engagements and escalate these as appropriate. Similarly, you’ll anticipate and identify risks within engagements and share any issues with senior members of the team.

Your key responsibilities

 

· 
Interface with clients to identify technical requirements and compatible capabilities

· 
Stay abreast of predominant technologies dealing with software and hardware inventories, server administration and data integration

· 
Provide leadership to associates, draft solutions for management review, and document results in work papers

· 
Providing contract compliance services to various member firms across the globe to assist them in various software inspections. This includes:

· 
Analyse, summaries and perform research to understand how different software are licensed and creating reports showing summary of Software purchases & deployment.

· 
Act as a point of contact to organize, maintain and file all engagement and administration documents which can be produced as evidence as needed by stake holders and other statutory bodies.

· 
Demonstrate high level of professionalism by proactive communication, taking ownership of the work, being accountable for the quality of deliverables/report submitted and take feedback constructively to provide better client services.

· 
Managing software licenses and installations using several tools such as Flexera, SCCM, SNOW, and MAP, and creating baseline reports for various vendors, including Microsoft and Adobe

· 
Analysing inventory data and creating baseline reports for management annually or on-demand basis

· 
Optimizing software license spend by eliminating redundancies and reducing wastage

· 
Rationalizing software vendor selection and negotiating contracts for optimized IT spend

· 
Advising on audit readiness and software renewals

· 
Restructuring request-for-software process to enhance accountability of cost centres for software budget

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

· 
Experience in evaluation of sensitive access and SOD based on business risks/ industry best practice risks for multiple ERPs.

· 
Experience in creation of SOD rulebooks based on the client business processes and applications

· 
Experience in role redesign based on the violations identified during the SOD tests.

· 
Application controls and security experience

· 
Security modelling

· 
Process systems and integrity, including risks and controls within business processes (manual, automated, security)

· 
Software License Reviews

To qualify for the role, you must have

· 
B.E/B.Tech (CS/ IT, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications,)/MBA/M.Sc. with at least 1-3 years of experience in Software asset management

Ideally, you’ll also have

Robust understanding of program and project management practices
