About Program Mercury

Program Mercury is a large, multi-year, enterprise-wide process transformation that will replace
more than 1400 EY business systems and related processes with an integrated, SAP -centric
platform.  It will standardize and harmonize activities throughout the organization and

significantly improve how EY manages its business.  Program Mercury is a key enabler of EY’s Vision2020, directly supporting the efforts of a number of transformation initiatives across the Firm bystreamlining the application portfolio, reducing operating costs and providing a platform to deliverservices more efficiently.

 

About the Mercury Support Team (MST)

As an organization jointly owned by the business and IT, MST is a centralized and global
organization which will provide operational support for the delivered Mercury solution and manageand support the Mercury user community.  The MST will play an integral role in governance of theMercury solution and the global template from both a business and IT perspective.  It will evolve towork closely with the business in enabling the benefit and value to be realized from the investmentin Program Mercury and to set the future direction and technology road map to support Vision2020+.


 

Job Summary
· 
Enhancements, Integrated Project Plan (IPP), and Release Calendars

· 
Organize/route SAP enhancements into proper release types and release windows (For example, should a change be assigned to a monthly release, a continuous improvement release, a break/fix release?  Is the change appropriate/necessary?  Are there external constraints preventing the originally proposed release window for a particular release?)  The Release Analyst will assist the Planner in this area. 

· 
Provide weekly status to Program via Integrated Project Plan (IPP), a detailed Gantt chart of MST activities, and Program Integration scorecard for MST activities

· 
Ensure long-range release plans/calendars and IPP remain current (working with teams internal and external).  These documents serve as long-term planning tools for our MST organization, their teams, and our staffing requirements. 

·  Forward Schedule of Change
· 
Support MST Release Planner to identify future release/change conflicts within Mercury and by/between Mercury and other EY systems with which Mercury interacts

· 
Assist with establishment of and maintenance of relationships within and outside of Mercury/MST

· 
Document plans within and external to Program/MST teams 12-18 months in advance

·  Proactively negotiate/resolve potentially conflicting plans
·  Any other duties to support MST/Mercury deliverables as requested. 

   Essential Functions of the Job

·  Experience:
· 
Release Planning for ERP or systems implementation (SAP preferred)

· 
ERP or systems implementation experience (SAP preferred)

· 
Understanding of interdependencies of IT and Business segments

·  Excellent people skills
· 
Excellent communication and conversational skills

· 
Experience managing small number of resources (preferred)

· 
Manage internal issues escalated from the team to remove barriers preventing them from performing their assigned activities

· 
Provide quality metrics and reporting

 
Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Experience working within multi-location global teams

·

Education 
· 
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience

· 
One or more professional certificates to supplement formal education preferred but not required
