Our Quality and associated risk management teams provide coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, regulatory and risk management issues, as well as dealing with claims, and any queries regarding the organization’s ethics. The opportunity

The Quality Manager (Assistant Director) will be responsible for consulting on complex, market-driven issues including client and engagement acceptance, service offering approvals, engagement agreements, regulatory matters (including those related to anti-money laundering) and inspectionsacross the BBC region;this is a regionally focused role and while the preferred location for this role is Bermuda, we are open to the position being based in any of our BBC locations.

 

As this role will primarily support our advisory services practice, it is preferred that the successful candidate has prior client-serving experience or deep service line knowledge of advisory services, including knowledge of anti-money laundering/financial crime, and/or financial services risk management.

 

Your key responsibilities

· 
Utilize technical, service line, and infrastructure knowledge to identify and resolve policy and procedure issues, violations and concerns

· 
Interface with firm quality, service line, and country leadership to address complex business issues

· 
Identify, develop, and report best practices within your designated area of focus

· 
Understand key firm policies and be knowledgeable of other quality and risk management areas outside of your core responsibilities

· 
Keep abreast of emerging issues; create and deliver training presentations to communicate new developments and the resulting impacts

· 
Make recommendations based on firm guidance, professional standards and acquired experience

· 
Develop relationships and build a network of people within the team and across the firm

Skills and attributes for success

·  Must possess sound interpersonal and information gathering skills, being able to relate staff at all levels of the organization and have the ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others
·  Applying knowledge of the Firm’s values, clients and services to their everyday work 

To qualify for the role you must have

·  A bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field
· 
An internationally recognized professional accounting designation, such as a CPA, CA, ACA, or equivalent would be beneficial, but is not required

· 
A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience; experience as a client-serving professional or internal quality and risk management function within a public accounting firm would be an asset

· 
Strong knowledge of advisory services and anti-money laundering regulations; experience within the legal field would be a plus

· 
An enhanced understanding of the key requirements of quality and risk management policies

· 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· 
Strong research and project management skills with attention to detail

· 
A dedication to teamwork and integrity within a professional environment
