What is REAS?

The EY Real Estate Advisory Services (REAS) team is a specialist global real estate team with a focus on three core services being:

·  Real Estate Transactions;
·  Real Estate Valuations; and
·  Real Estate Advisory.

As part of the national team you will gain experience across a broad range of asset classes including, residential, retail, office, industrial, infrastructure and, special use properties throughout Australia. Your clients will include large corporates, all levels of government, major financial institutions foreign and private investors, developers and multi-national organisations. You will have the opportunity to work with other talented teams within EY to broaden your knowledge, work on multibillion-dollar projects and transactions and potentially travel.

 

The opportunity

We are looking for an Intern within the Real Estate Advisory Services (REAS) team in our Perth office.

 

Skills and attributes for success

·  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills
·  Strong report writing and presentation skills
·  Market research – ability to leverage, consolidate and interpret market data into a presentable form
·  Financial modelling use of excel and other technology platforms such as Power BI to manipulate or interpret data
·  Strong understanding or experience in property valuation
·  A deep interest in real estate with a desire to work across a highly diverse range of sectors
·  Self-motivated learner and problem solver

Ideally, you’ll also have

·  Some form of work experience in the real estate field
·  A bachelor’s degree (or working towards) in Property or Real Estate Valuations (preferred but not mandatory) or a related bachelor’s degree and be able to demonstrate a deep passion to work within the Real Estate industry
·  Interest in working towards professional accreditation such a CPV of the API or RICS (not mandatory)

Eligibility

To apply for this role, you are required to be: 

·  In the penultimate year of your degree in Property Development and Valuation
·  An Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident
