This role has been created to support the next growth phase the Global Center for Board Matters (GCBM) program within Global Markets. GCBM serves to differentiate EY as “best in class” at effective and valued board engagement. The program enhances board relationships across the firm through targeted content and bespoke programming. We have three main pillars – content creation (digital hub ); developing and training our leaders and empowering our people to strengthen their relationships with boards; and activating board relationships at the G360 account level.We are looking for an individual to join a dynamic and high performing team of professionals who are passionate, driven and determined to create change across the firm. The team are small yet leverage the reach of global markets, and you will have the opportunity to interact with various stakeholders across our Area-led programs, as well as functions such as BD, Learning, Talent, Procurement, Digital Products and Solutions – and furthermore with connectivity to service lines and sectors.

 

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

· 
The essential functions of the job will be to support the GCBM lead for Activation and Coaching by providing effective project management of each of the activities within the GCBM program plan. 

The role will also

· 
Drive operational improvement by maintaining support systems including communication channels, shared drives, and effective information sharing.

· 
Co-ordinate monthly team meetings including scheduling, assisting in agenda development, minute taking and actions follow up with each team member,

· 
Manage external vendor relationships including contractual obligations, vendor set up and acceptance, invoicing and communications

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

The role requires an understanding and awareness of

· 
The GCBM program and priorities, as well as global markets priorities, so that decisions made contribute to continued integration and alignment with firm-wide initiatives and business development opportunities

· 
Other global market audience programs including Beacon, Women. Fast Forward, Alumni, EYQ and Geostrategic business group so as to manage the collaboration on shared projects

· 
How to build internal awareness of GCBM and its value to EY client-servers

· 
EY’s Finance and budgeting processes in order to escalate to senior team members as needed

· 
Adheres to all firm policies, guidelines and standards in relation to responsible use of collaboration platforms and solution configuration.  

Supervision Responsibilities:

· 
Works independently with limited supervision, manages own deadlines and reports to the GCBM lead for Activation and Coaching

· 
Works closely with the team and collaborates effectively to understand status and report on each of the program activities.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements: 

· 
Stakeholder management – experience of dealing with multiple, internal and external stakeholders, strong relationship building skills and political savvy.

· 
Managing projects - Good project management skills and a solid understanding of project management practices and tools.

· 
Operating commercially - understands the business and demonstrates commercial acumen using appropriate language that frames purpose in the context of business objectives.

· 
Inclusive communicator – strong written and oral communication skills to talk about programs in a clear, compelling manner with a professional demeanor. Good networker, effect at working as part of a virtual team with people across levels and backgrounds.

· 
Effective operations - strong project management skills with ability to operate as both a strategic thinker and internal business operator. Ability to establish credibility and buy-in from senior stakeholders.

· 
Adjusting to change – resilient, practical and self-starter. Able to work independently and as part of wider team. Understanding of change management approaches and experience with implementation.

· 
Driving success – delivery-focused with proven experience in implementing initiatives in a commercial / professional services environment. Passion for purpose, strong sense of teaming and work ethic.

Other Requirements:

· 
Overtime and travel (infrequent) may occasionally be required to meet project commitments.

· 
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate workload and multiple time zones as needed.
