GDS & Market Ops summary:

Global Delivery Services (GDS) Markets Operations team provides operational and decision-making support to the Business Development leadership and to various Global Markets functions. Our diverse teams specialize in coordinating Business Development (BD) activities, supporting Go-to-Market projects and providing operational support to the Markets organization. The team is spread across multiple locations around the globe.

As part of the Market Operations Enablement Support team, the Associate would have to handle multiple responsibilities including (but not limited to) supporting ‘Project Mercury’ which goes live in UK&I on 14 th October 2019.

‘Project Mercury’ is EY’s globally integrated SAP solution. It has been deployed in more than a dozen EY countries and another 23 will be added in October 2019, including UK&I.Mercury will upgrade many of our systems and processes; it will replace around 1400 of our global and local applications, with the introduction of a fully integrated globalend to end SAP financial management system.The changes Mercury will bring will allow us to manage our engagements better, allowing us to deliver better outcomes for our clients and our business.

The role requires a comparable work experience with effective communication skills including communication over emails and Skype, aiming to support the business and its leaders, especially Partners and Senior Management, through problem solving, reporting, data analysis and providing insights with attention to detail. Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders’ cross teams is essential for this role.

Essential deliverables and processes include:

Mercury business support

· 
Be the first point of contact for on-shore teams/users within UK&I to assist with requests regarding assistance/issues/changes relating to the implementation and subsequent business as usual state of the Mercury solution.

· 
Developing an in-depth understanding of the end to end EY Mercury SAP solution to be able to provide first-line trouble-shooting advice and guidance to users.

· 
Owning issues and seeing them through to resolution, ensuring users and stakeholders are kept up to date on progress.

· 
Capturing and tracking issues/risks throughout the trouble-shooting process, with a view to mitigating issues occurring in the future.

· 
Utilising SAP reporting platforms to be able to provide insights/analysis from systems data, providing ad-hoc requests to stakeholders when required.

· 
Involvement with testing activities for any future state enhancements of systems.

· 
Coordinating and collaborating with on-shore stakeholders including Markets team, finance and Mercury support teams, effectively sharing knowledge and increasing knowledge base.

· 
Develop strong working relationships with onshore stakeholders and anticipate and respond to business needs.

· 
Facilitating the collection, communication and sharing of business knowledge and best practice with Regional and wider Global Mercury support teams/functions.

 

Other duties include:

· 
Assist in PMO of necessary stakeholder-based projects to support on-shore Market Operations & Execution teams.

· 
Participating in team meetings (virtual), review items discussed, and act/plan accordingly.

· 
Supporting with other initiatives and projects undertaken by the GDS Market Operations team; duties may include supporting account operations, CRM complex queries, tech/system support and revenue planning.

Requirements (including experience, skills and additional qualifications)

Experience and qualifications:

· 
Graduate - with 3 to 5 years work experience in professional services industry having exposure to working with SAP systems, business process management (BPM), consulting, research and/or some corporate strategy.
