The opportunity

As part of the UK Financial Services (UKFS) Learning team you will be critical to the deployment and Operations of our learning curriculum. You will be responsible for supportingall Learning and Development activity across UKFS and supporting the Operations Manager.

 

Your key responsibilities

As Learning Co-ordinator for the UKFS L&D team you will support our consultants and managers to deploy our global and local curriculum of courses and learning events. You will work with our support teams off-shore to ensure our business receive world class learning and development.  You will also support our Operations Manager to ensure our team is running efficiently, serving the business to the best of its ability as well as supporting our budget management processes, including invoice management, financial tracking and reporting.

Core Responsibilities – Learning Activity

„ Support the management of a portfolio of courses working with the Service Line Learning Managers (SLLMs). Examples of responsibilities are included below:

„ The initial set up of courses and classes, including input request into the LAS (Learning Administration System) – Success Factors.

„ Venue booking and accommodation management.

„ Material management.

„ Onsite logistics such as managing sign in sheets, stationery arrangements (these do not always require you to be physically onsite), instructor briefings.

„ Input to course financials e.g. initial review of invoices and follow up with suppliers as necessary, budget preparation, monitoring of spend.

„ Support the Service Line Learning Managers in the management of facilitators.

„ Management of cancellations, no shows and missed sessions and associated reporting.

„ Support the recording, editing and production of online modules/webcasts.

„ Responsible for supporting detailed reviews of work conducted by Learning Team.

„ Ensure class feedback is gathered and distributed for future course development.

Core Responsibilities: Operations and Finance

„ Support the Operations Manager with regular financial reporting, system processes and Management Information, which will be communicated to the business. Examples of responsibilities are included below:

„ Regularly update master budget template, responsible for its accuracy and upkeep.

„ Support monthly financial operations.

„ Check spend on engagement codes.

„  Open & Close engagement codes.

„ Check and code internal and external invoices.

„ Manage Power Bi Reporting.

„ Maintain and manage the team inbox to help with Learning and financial queries.

„ Develop and update team process documents.

„ Own and update team SharePoint site.

 

Additional Responsibilities: Project Support large learning events. Examples of responsibilities are included below:

„ the initial and ongoing monitoring of participant nominations when managed by the Global Delivery Services.

„ Supporting the Project Management of the delivery of several large learning events a year (may involve some travel).

„ Owning specific elements of larger learning events such as travel, Food & Beverage or delegate management.

 

Required Skills:

„ Excellent interpersonal skills.

„ Organised, attention to detail and an ability to deliver to deadlines and prioritise work.

„ Some experience in budget management and/or interest in finance.

„ Ability to interact well with people at all levels within the firm.

„ Strong team player with an enthusiastic, can do approach.

„ Ability to learn new processes and skills quickly.

„ Strong IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint. Particular focus on Excel skills.

„  Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Desirable skills/ attributes:

„ A background and experience in learning deployment and/or finance is useful but is not a prerequisite.

„ Knowledge of SharePoint build/ maintenance.

„ Knowledge or Power Bi/ reporting tools.

„ Financial experience.
