Job description



The Greek EY Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice is the leader in Greece and South-East Europe in professional financial advisory services market.

Within TAS, the Transaction Support team aims to assist clients, both private equity firms and corporate clients, throughout the whole transaction process. Whilst traditional financial due diligence is a key element of the service, transaction support is much broader, incorporating assistance with business plan assessment, including support to the transaction management, negotiation and documentation, and post-completion integration.

Restructuring services team aims to assist clients facing difficulties in debt servicing or meeting liquidity requirements. Each restructuring scenario calls for different professional skills, therefore there is a broad range of services that are tailored to each individual situation to help evaluate opportunities, put together the most effective restructuring plan, provide a useful insight regarding what the Lenders are likely to consider in a restructuring, improve transactions and achieve client’s strategic goals.

Additionally, the restructuring services team is assisting Lenders and Creditors in maximizing their recoveries by taking control of failed entities through the Special Administration process (which includes inter alia day to day management of the business and assets’ sale).

Due to our growth, we are currently looking for Junior Financial Analysts.

The opportunity

 

You’ll be working in a professional environment alongside a vibrant and exciting team of experienced financial due diligence and restructuring professionals on a variety of projects across a wide range of sectors.

As a financial analyst you will be a vital member of the team executing financial due diligence and/ or restructuring projects work. You’ll be focused on understanding the client’s business, profit drivers and trends, help clients mitigate risks and improve deal structures.

You will also be supporting the development of staff ensuring their career development.

To qualify for the role you must have

·  A bachelor’s degree from a top tier university in Accounting, Finance or Business;
·  0 - 2 years of related work experience;
·  Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills both in Greek and English;
·  Accounting knowledge and experience (IFRS and Greek GAAP);
·  Excellent analytical, project management, communication, problem solving, interpersonal and teaming skills;
·  Outstanding organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines;
·  Willingness to learn, proactivity, openness to work in a multicultural environment;

Will be considered as an asset

·  Post-graduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, business or similar will be considered an asset;
·  Working experience in audit and assurance and/or M&A or transactions role;
·  Experience in a Big4 environment will be considered an asset;
·  An active CPA/ACCA/ACA/CFA certification.
·  Solid negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
