Evolving customer demands, new technologies and new service models are more than ever pushing traditional financial services providers out of their comfort zone, and even redefining the entire industry. At EY we go further than just help our clients to deal with these changes: we are driving the change, and help shape the financial sector of the future.

The matters we cover

Matters such as Big Data and Advanced Analytics (e.g. Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence) are increasingly becoming key enablers for our clients in financial services. At EY, we have a strong Data & Analytics business practice. Our dedicated professionals work closely with colleagues from other departments, in domains such as risk management, business optimization, digital transformation and customer experience. As a future Data & Analytics Consultant, you will help our clients in the following domains:

·  Assessment and improvement of the company’s data capabilities (data strategy, data governance, data quality, data architecture, data management, data usage)
·  Design and delivery of modern(ized) data architectures, data warehousing, data integration or data migration.

Your main tasks and responsibilities

·  You collect and analyze business and IT requirements in scope of the delivery lifecycle of our Data & Analytics projects
·  You contribute to the setup and implementation of the “data-driven” roles and responsibilities, policies and processes within our clients’ organization in line with their data strategy, their maturity and their company culture
·  You participate to the design and improvement of components of a target data architecture: enterprise data model, data profiling, data integrity controls, data integration flows, setup of new (big) data technology, data migration plan and execution
·  You collaborate with experienced data scientists to prepare, develop and evaluate advanced analytics models and deploy them in robotized business processes
·  You help create and implement dynamic dashboards and reports in line with effective information communication guidelines
·  You act as a first-line contact for a variety of top-class financial services clients and maintain an excellent relationship with our clients.

To qualify for the role you must have

·  A Master’s Degree in Economics, (Business) Engineering, Sciences, IT, Computer Sciences or Statistics
·  Strong affinity with, and interest in new trends in Big Data & Advanced Analytics, and in Digital transformation
·  Fluency in Dutch and/or French, with a proficient level of business English
·  Strong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy
·  A keen interest to learn more about the Financial Services market in Belgium and beyond
·  Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, Python, R or equivalent data programming languages and the Office tools are a strong asset.

What working at EY offers

·  You will join a dynamic team, genuinely passionate about their work, within a leading global professional services firm
·  We provide extensive trainings, both on technical matters, as well on soft skills and project management
·  We will support you to ‘learn on the job’ from more experienced professionals in our team, who take on a coaching and mentoring role
·  We offer you an attractive salary and additional benefits
·  The start date for this role is September 2020.
