Job summary:


Business Analyst / IT Product Manager facilitates business process improvement via the methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business. They manage the requirements development process through the elicitation, analysis, specification and verification of multiple levels of requirements (business, stakeholder, solution) and support the ongoing management of the requirements. Business analyst creates viable and consumable specifications including acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction and testing of IT solutions.

Essential Functions of the Job:

· 
Supports the lead Project / Product Manager and SAP Domain Lead to manage financials and product-/project-related processes to schedule, budget and scope, inputting into the approach, plans and performance criteria and provides guidance on engagement processes

· 
Monitors product-/project cost, handles issues and identifies and escalates risks to ensure product-/project objectives are met

· 
Performs data analysis and coordination, tracking & reporting expenditure on assigned project(s).

· 
Handles all operational processes related to Product-/project-staffing, contracting, licensing

· 
Supports larger/more complex projects or can assist in supporting multiple smaller/less complex projects.

· 
May support multiple senior people on the engagements or program of work.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

· 
Selects appropriate methodologies and tools to contribute to the successful delivery of projects, dealing with complex and contradicting information

· 
Monitors costs, timescales and resources, assessing and recommending actions where variances from the plan occur, for more complex / larger projects.

· 
Responsible to collect data and aggregate data for monthly forecast cycles

· 
Proactively analyzes financial reports/metrics and provides assessment to project team members in areas of budget, profitability, variances, and cash flow

· 
Documents final contracted margin and engagement revenue with corresponding assumptions using EY standard tools & templates

· 
May assist in preparation of draft templates under guidance from other team members.

· 
Supports with the facilitation and running of meetings with client / business stakeholders, beginning to take a more active role in project engagements

· 
Provides documentation for project review meetings, attends project review meetings/other project meetings as needed

· 
Identifies and escalates risks to the success of the project, and monitors compliance with contract terms and conditions

Develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders with increasing client / business exposure​ and may directly supervise / mentor more junior team members, handling problems and issues and collecting and disseminating relevant information.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

· 
Knowledge of Project Management Processes/Project Controls

· 
May create tools/independent spreadsheets to help analyze burn rate/earned value earnings variances, and cash projections.

· 
Automation of process flows and data visualization skills required

· 
Facilitates and assists in modelling situational analysis for projects where required

 

Supervision Responsibilities:

Direct supervision provided by an experienced Program Leader/Manager; frequency on a weekly or as needed basis

Senior Business Analyst is expected to act independently to deliver project analysis and financial management in a self-driven and motivated way

 

Job Requirements:

Education:

·  A degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience

Experience:

· 
2 to 5 years in a corporate (IT) environment

· 
2 to 5 years’ experience in project management office-related functions

· 
Relevant experience in a related technical field preferred (application development, deployment/implementation and infrastructure)

· 
Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills

· 
Strong skills in data visualization tools

· 
Experience using and interpreting financial data

Certification Requirements:

· 
Project management certification is preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2)

· 
Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageous
