ITS Advisory- Consultant

Job description

Position 

This position is for a Staff in the GDS ITTS team and will be based out of Trivandrum or Kochi, Kerala. The candidate will be primarily involved in supporting the ITS advisory speciality offering of the Tax practice; including work on multiple initiatives of project delivery and business development (BD) for the practice regions, preparation of tax deliverables for different work streams like direct tax, project management support for projects and producing materials useful in BD initiative of the onshore ITS practice.

Requirements (including experience, skills and additional qualifications)

·  CA/ CA Inter qualified from the Institute of Chartered accounts of India (ICAI) or ACCA fully or partly qualified
·  Should have 0 to 2 years of work experience in the field of taxation, should have knowledge in International taxation, finance & accounts.
·  Should possess excellent knowledge of tax concepts, financial statements, ratio analysis, corporate affairs etc. and should be able to take ownership of deliverables
·  Should be able to work on tax deliverables involving tax treaty analysis, financial analysis, , incentive analysis and modelling of tax benefits
·  Should possess project management skills and should support the team in major Tax projects from its initiation to closure
·  Should be able to make contribution by process refinement and value addition of existing work process with onshore team in collaboration with team
·  Responsible for timely delivery of the projects meeting the quality requirements set by the team
·  Should be proficient in using MS Office (primarily MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
·  Should have excellent communication and writing skills and be able to manage the key Tax stakeholders
·  Ability to work as a team member and as an individual contributor
·  Should be proactive; self-motivated; and have a desire to upgrade his skills through continuous learning
·  Should be flexible to cater to the project requirements and timeline
·  Should be a lateral thinker and have good reasoning skills
